FJORD SAUNA

The Geiranger fjord is known as one of Norway's most beautiful fjords and brings a flood of tourists each year. Because of cold mountain streams, the water temperature in the fjord rarely exceeds 13 °C, which makes it an unpleasant experience to swim in. The village community has for years tried to get a sauna with direct access to the water, but so far it has stayed at an idea level.

This sauna project aims to work for both tourists and locals — as a way to open up Geiranger's waterfront for public use.
