Iceland has no trains, and the public transportation that does exist is limited. In addition, the weather is incredibly unpredictable. As a result, a large part of the population depends on cars. To change this, the Icelandic government and the municipality of Reykjavík have decided to introduce a new bus line, a so-called Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), which will run in a circle around the entire country.
